DETAILS: (Oxnard, Calif) – An Oxnard man was found in possession of a sawed-off shotgun after fleeing from officers.
On Wednesday, 10/15/17 at 7:19 p.m. Oxnard police officers stopped a white BMW for multiple traffic violations at the intersection of Rose Avenue and Santa Lucia Avenue, and the right front passenger fled from the car.
Officers ran after the suspect and the foot chase ended in the backyard of a house on Eliza Court. The suspect, 19 year-old Cesar Guerrero was in possession of a sawed-off shotgun. He had shotgun shells in his pants’ pocket and had discarded black gloves.
Guerrero had felony arrest warrants and was arrested on charges that included a felon in possession of a firearm and resisting/obstructing police.
