DETAILS:
On December 29, 2017, at approximately 1:00 p.m., Officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to an injured person suffering from 3rd degree burns to the left side of his body. The victim (Lemus) was transported to Ventura County Medical Center by ambulance. The departments Violent Crimes Unit and Oxnard Fire Department’s Arson investigator responded to investigate the circumstances. During the course of their investigation they identified, Anthony Alzalde, as the person who committed the assault on Lemus. Officers searched the area and located Alzalde in a restroom of a nearby park. He was arrested and booked into the Ventura County Jail on charges of Attempt Murder and Mayhem.
