DETAILS: On July 26, 2018, The Oxnard Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit (VCU), in conjunction with the Ventura County Juvenile Probation Unit conducted several probation searches throughout the City of Oxnard in an effort to ensure probationers were adhering to their probation terms. Officers found fourteen juveniles that were not in compliance and two of the juveniles were arrested. One was arrested for possession of narcotics and the other for possession of a loaded firearm.
The Oxnard Police Department will continue collaborative efforts with the Ventura County Juvenile Probation Unit with the aim to diminish violent crime and criminal activity.
