DETAILS:
On July 18, 2018 at approximately 05:00 A.M., officers and detectives from the Oxnard Police Department, Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, Ventura Police Department and Simi Valley Police Department served simultaneous search warrants at two locations in the City of Oxnard. The search warrants were the result of on-going robbery investigations in the City of Oxnard.
On June 27, 2018 at 05:48 A.M., the Oxnard Police Department responded to a call for service reference a robbery that took place in the 3600 block of Samuel Avenue. The suspect confronted the victim and demanded the victim’s property. The suspect forcibly took the victim’s property and fled the scene. An investigation was conducted by the Oxnard Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit. Detectives identified Osvaldo Hernandez as the suspect in this incident.
During the search warrants, Osvaldo Hernandez was arrested for robbery and booked into the Ventura County Jail with bail set at $250,000.
