(OXNARD, Calif) – Today marks the one-year anniversary of the senseless murder of Alexis Jean Lopez. On October 8, 2017 at about 9:46 p.m., Lopez was seated in her pickup truck at the intersection of Ventura Boulevard and Santa Clara Avenue when she was shot.
The Oxnard Police Department needs the assistance of the Ventura County community in solving her murder. Investigators have interviewed numerous witnesses and followed up on several leads, but have not been able to identify any suspects or establish a motive for this crime.
Investigators believe that there are people in the community that have information that can assist investigators in identifying the suspect in this case. Investigators are asking anyone that has information related to this homicide, to call the Oxnard Police Department or make an anonymous telephone call through the Violent Crimes Hotline or Ventura County Crimes Stoppers. Any information regarding this case would be helpful to the investigation. Your cooperation would be greatly appreciated by the Lopez family including her two young children, the Community, and the Oxnard Police Department.
