On 01/03/2020 at approximately 3:35 p.m., officers with the Oxnard Police Department were dispatched to the west alley of the 500 block of Roosevelt Avenue in reference to a stabbing victim. Upon arrival, officers located a 20-year-old male suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition.
Investigators from the Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene to assist in the investigation. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the victim was attacked by a group of male subjects. During the attack, the victim was stabbed multiple times. A 15-year-old male and a 14-year-old male were identified as having taken part in the attack. They were arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and street terrorism (gang enhancement) and booked into juvenile hall. Additional suspects are still outstanding and the investigation is ongoing.
