SUSPECT: Oscar Salcedo Reyes II, 33-year-old, Oxnard Resident

On January 26, 2021, at about 8:00 P.M., Oxnard police officers responded to the 800 block of Hobson Way regarding a possible gunshot victim. When officers arrived, they located a 47-year-old male Hispanic suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his body lying in the street. EMS arrived, and the male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
As officers were responding to the scene, a description of the suspect was released. Officers located suspect Oscar Reyes in the area of the shooting. Reyes was identified as the shooter. Investigators are looking for additional witnesses as the investigation continues. Reyes II was booked into Ventura County Jail for this homicide and he is not eligible for bail.

The City of Oxnard offers a reward of $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals responsible for committing homicides within the City.
