SUBJECT: Prohibited Person Arrested for Possessing P80 Handgun
SUSPECTS: Angel Gonzalez, 19-year-old Oxnard resident

On March 22, 2022 at about 1715 hours, officers from the Oxnard Police Department were dispatched to a fight in the 2700 block of Peninsula Road. Once on scene, officers contacted three individuals associated with a white vehicle. Gonzalez was the right front passenger in this vehicle.
During the investigation, officers learned that Gonzalez was on probation with search terms. Officers searched the area where Gonzalez had been seated, and located a loaded P80 handgun. A 30 round magazine with 9mm rounds was inserted in the firearm. Gonzalez was arrested for possessing the firearm.
Gonzalez is prohibited from possessing a firearm or ammunition. He was arrested for several felony firearms related charges.
