On December 9, 2022 at approximately 1100 hours, officers from the Oxnard Police Department conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation on a white Chevy Tahoe at Hill Street and ‘G’ Street in Oxnard. The driver, Aguirre, did not comply with officers and attempted to walk away from the scene. Upon contact, a high capacity magazine was located in his possession. There were three additional juveniles in the vehicle and upon further investigation, an AR-15 was located in the front passenger compartment where the 14-year-old male was seated.
Aguirre was ultimately arrested for an outstanding warrant, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, resisting arrest and multiple firearms violations. The front passenger was also arrested for firearms violations.
