On January 8, 2023, at approximately 3:58 a.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to a call for service of an injury traffic collision at the intersection of Perkins Road and Campbell Way.
Upon arrival, officers located a single vehicle that had collided with several parked vehicles and flipped on its side. EMS quickly responded and attempted to extricate the two trapped occupants to perform life-saving measures. Unfortunately, both occupants were pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver was identified as Jennifer Antillon and the passenger as Irasema Rodriguez.
The preliminary investigation revealed Antillon was driving southbound on Perkins Road from Pleasant Valley Road. For reasons not yet fully understood, Antillon collided with several parked vehicles along the east curb and caused her vehicle to flip on its side before colliding with additional parked vehicles. Investigators suspect alcohol to be a factor in this collision. SUBJECT: Subject Arrested for Possessing Stolen Firearm

On January 5th, at approximately 7:35 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Special Enforcement Unit (Gang Unit) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Rose Ave. and Socorro Wy. Officers contacted the occupants and learned that one of the passengers was on the Post Release Offender Program for vehicle theft. Officers removed the occupants to conduct a search pursuant to the passenger’s search terms. During the search officers located a loaded .22 caliber revolver that was concealed in the vehicle. Abril, one of the passengers, was arrested for possessing the revolver. A records check on the firearm revealed that it had been reported stolen.

On December 30, 2022, at about 1:35 A.M., Officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to the call of a male yelling for help in the area of De Anza Way and Cloyne Street. Upon arrival, officers located a 27-year-old male, later identified as Saul Guillen suffering from multiple stab wounds. Emergency medical personnel quickly arrived, began life-saving measures and transported Guillen to the Ventura County Medical Center. Unfortunately, once at the hospital Guillen succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The Oxnard Police Department Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and took over the investigation.
Investigators are encouraging anyone who has any information, may have heard or seen anything to contact Detective Justin Songer (805) 385-7680. The City of Oxnard offers a reward of $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any individuals responsible for committing homicides within the City.

The Oxnard Police Department is asking for the community's assistance locating an at-risk missing adult. Sandra Diaz is a 74-year-old Hispanic female, 5’0, 140 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. Mrs. Diaz was last seen at her residence in Oxnard, today at 4:00 pm. She was wearing a long sleeve multi-color shirt, shorts and grey stockings. Mrs. Diaz suffers from Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
The Oxnard Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Mrs. Diaz. If you have any information about the disappearance of Mrs. Diaz, we ask that you contact the Oxnard Police Department dispatch immediately at (805) 385-7740.

On December 25, 2022, at approximately 4:37 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department and EMS personnel responded to a call for service regarding a 13-year-old male bicyclist that was struck by a black Dodge Charger in the area of Kentia Street and Kumquat Street where the driver fled the area. It was believed that the driver was already fleeing from another hit and run and was being followed by the victim vehicle from that incident. The juvenile suffered significant injuries and was transported to the Ventura County Medical Center for emergency care. The juvenile is currently in stable condition.
Initial investigation revealed that the driver of the black Dodge Charger may have been involved in additional crimes over the previous 24 hours. Officers were able to locate a vehicle and driver matching the description of the hit and run vehicle. The investigation was turned over to Investigators with the Traffic Unit and the investigation is currently ongoing.
Oxnard Police investigators are seeking the public’s assistance to identify additional evidence that identifies the vehicle and driver of this hit and run collision. On December 26, 2022, at about 2:45 P.M., Officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to the call of a fight in the 300 block of West Fifth Street. Upon arrival, officers located a 50 year old male subject, who was suffering from multiple stab wounds. Emergency medical personnel quickly arrived, began life-saving measures and transported the male to the Ventura County Medical Center. Unfortunately, once at the hospital the male victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The name of the victim is being withheld until notification can be made to his family.
The Oxnard Police Department Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and took over the investigation.

On December 23, 2022, at approximately 10:54 a.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department were dispatched to a shooting victim in the 100 block of Campton Drive. When officers arrived, they located a 45-year-old male Oxnard resident suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
Investigators from the Oxnard Police Department Violent Crimes Unit assumed responsibility for the investigation. The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
