At approximately 7:00 a.m. on November 18, 2022, Oxnard Police Department officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of Dove Canyon Drive reference a missing adult, Albert Duff, Sr..

Duff was last seen by his spouse when he went to bed last evening at approximately 11:18 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2022. Upon waking at approximately 7:00 a.m. this morning, his spouse discovered that he was missing, along with the family’s car keys and vehicle.

Upon investigation, officers discovered via community cameras that the vehicle was last seen traveling northbound on East Harbor Boulevard at Schooner Drive in the city of Ventura at 8:00 a.m. this morning. The vehicle is a light blue 2007 Lexus RX350 S.U.V. with a California license plate of 5XKZ442.

Duff is described as an 87-year-old Black male, 5’8”, 190 pounds. He has brown eyes, wears eyeglasses, and is bald with gray hair on the sides of his head. He was last seen wearing a dark blue bathrobe and dark blue sweatpants with a white stripe down the sides of the legs.

SUBJECT: Fatal Collision Involving Pickup Truck and Motorcyclist

LOCATION: Oxnard Boulevard and Palm Drive, Oxnard

On November 14, 2022, at approximately 5:48 a.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to a call for service of an injury traffic collision at the intersection of Oxnard Boulevard and Palm Drive.

Upon arrival, officers located motorcycle rider Armando Juanillo lying in the roadway. EMS quickly responded however declared Juanillo deceased at the scene. Officers learned Juanillo had collided into a Ford Ranger driven by Alberto Estrada. Estrada remained on scene and cooperated with investigators.

The preliminary investigation revealed Estrada was turning northbound Oxnard Boulevard from Palm Drive. Juanillo was traveling northbound Oxnard Boulevard and collided into Estrada at the intersection. Investigators are still determining if speed, alcohol, or drug impairment were a contributing factor to this collision. SUBJECT: Single Vehicle Fatal Collision

LOCATION: Hueneme Road and Edison Drive, Oxnard

On November 5, 2022, at approximately 8:12 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to a call for service of an injury traffic collision at the intersection of Hueneme Road and Edison Drive.

Upon arrival, officers located a 24-year old male driver with severe injuries inside a white 2005 Chevy Silverado. The driver was immediately transported by EMS personnel to the Ventura County Medical Center but later succumbed to his injuries.

The preliminary investigation revealed the driver first collided into the center median of Hueneme Road before colliding into a tree and brick wall. Witnesses identified the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the collision. Investigators are also identifying whether alcohol was a contributing factor. On Monday, November 7, 2022, at about 4:30 A.M., Ofelia Diaz left her residence on foot bound for an unknown location. Ms. Diaz’ whereabouts are unknown and her family is searching for her.

Ofelia Diaz is a 67-year-old Hispanic female, 4’8”, 110 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a purple sweater, green skirt, black and purple scarf with black sandals. Oxnard Police Officers are working with Diaz’ family to locate her.

The Oxnard Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Ms. Diaz. If you have any information about the disappearance of Ms. Diaz, we ask that you contact the Oxnard Police Department dispatch immediately at (805) 385-7740.

SUBJECT: Narcotic Sales Arrest

SUSPECTS: Eddie Gomez, 53 year-old Oxnard Resident

During the month of October 2022, the Oxnard Police Department Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) began an investigation regarding Eddie Gomez being involved in the sale of Methamphetamine. During the investigation, DEU detectives developed enough evidence to obtain a search warrant.

On November 4^th, 2022 with the assistance of the Oxnard Special Enforcement Unit (SEU), DEU detectives located Gomez while he was driving in his vehicle. SEU Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop and detained Gomez pursuant the search warrant. During a search of the vehicle, SEU Officers located a large quantity of Methamphetamine, US Currency, and evidence of narcotics sales.

Gomez was charged with possession of Methamphetamine for sale and transportation of Methamphetamine, both Felonies. He was booked into the Ventura County Main Jail.
