DETAILS:
On 8-17-10 at around 10:25 PM, officers responded to a call of a shooting victim. Upon officers arrival they located the victim in front of a residence. Medical personnel attempted to revive the victim with negative results.
Witnesses told officers that the suspect and victim had a physical altercation and during the fight the victim was shot. The victim attempted to run into the residence for help when he collapsed from his injuries. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.
At around 7:30 AM officers from the Special Enforcement Team surrounded the suspect’s residence on San Gorgonio and started to make verbal contact with the occupants. By 11:30 the team entered and cleared the residence with the assistance of the Ventura County Bomb Squad. The suspect was gone; he had fled in his vehicle possibly last night.
Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the suspect in this homicide. The suspect photo is attached, he should be considered armed and dangerous.
