DETAILS:
On 3-6-10 at about 0820 hours, Oxnard Police Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 4300 block of Nimitz Dr., Oxnard. While the officers were walking up to the door of the residence, they encountered Charles Tucker as he was trying to leave. The officers immediately noticed he had what appeared to be a rifle concealed under his clothing. The officers ordered him to the ground and he was detained for further investigation. Tucker was found to be in possession of an SKS assault rifle with a folding stock, ammunition, and drug paraphernalia. Further investigation revealed that Tucker was a convicted felon and prohibited from firearm ownership or possession. He was booked into the Ventura County Jail for 4 felony charges of possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of ammunition by a felon, possession of a concealed firearm by a felon, possession of an assault rifle, and 2 misdemeanor charges of possession of narcotics paraphernalia, and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
The investigation is continuing.
