On February 1, 2012, investigators from the Oxnard Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit obtained information that Roy Jimenez had committed the bank robbery at Citibank, located at 2900 Saviers Road, on January 25, 2012.
On February 2, 2012, at about 11:40 a.m., investigators contacted Jimenez at his residence in the 700 block of west Pleasant Valley Road. He was arrested and taken into custody without incident. He was booked into the Ventura County Jail for bank robbery. Because this is still an active investigation, no further details will be released until the conclusion of the investigation.

On January 25, 2012, at about 11:51 a.m., a male suspect entered the Citibank located in the 2900 block of Saviers Road. The suspect approached the teller window and handed him a note that demanded money and stated he was armed. The teller handed an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect. The suspect fled the bank in a southern direction. The suspect possibly fled in a dark “box” shaped vehicle.
Oxnard police officers and investigators responded and interviewed several witnesses. FBI agents also assisted in the investigation. Investigators are currently working several leads.
