DETAILS:
On December 6, 2011, at about 2 a.m. Oxnard PD officers responded to Driffill School, located at 910 South E Street, in regards to a burglary alarm. When the officers arrived, a man was seen running on the campus. A perimeter around the school was quickly established.
As officers searched the school grounds, evidence of a burglary to several classrooms was discovered. In addition, officers located signs indicating that the suspect had ascended to a rooftop. With the assistance of a ladder truck provided by the Oxnard Fire Department, officers searched the roof and located the suspect, 30-year-old Roberto Padilla of Oxnard. He was taken into custody without incident.
Padilla was booked into Ventura County Jail on charges of burglary and an outstanding parole warrant.
