On April 26, 2011 at approximately 6:00 PM, officers responded to a call of a robbery that occurred in the area of Graves Ave and Pajaro St. When officers arrived they contacted four male victims who told police they had been robbed of their personal belongings by four male suspects. The victims told officers that one of the suspects had been armed with a handgun, and had forced the victims to enter a dumpster enclosure to the rear of a business on Graves Ave where the robbery occurred.
Investigators from the Oxnard Police Department Violent Crimes Unit were later able to identify the suspect with the handgun. The suspect was identified as a 17-year-old male Oxnard resident.
On July 8, 2011 at approximately 7:30 AM, Investigators from the Oxnard Police Department Violent Crimes Unit served a search warrant at the suspect’s residence in the 2100 block of Jacinto Dr. As a result of the search warrant, investigators were able to locate evidence related to the robbery. The 17-year-old suspect was taken into custody at his residence without incident. He was later booked into the Ventura County Juvenile Detention Facility for armed robbery, kidnapping, and conspiracy.
