DETAILS: A suspicious package was found by an employee of the Mission Bargain Center Thrift Store, located at 125 South Harrison Avenue. For precautionary reasons, approximately 40 people were evacuated from the business. There were no injuries during the evacuation.
The Ventura Sheriff’s Bomb Unit responded to the scene to assist with the investigation. The suspicious package was not an explosive device. Oxnard police detectives are investigating the incident.
