On 05/11/2014 at 6:56 AM Oxnard Police officers responded to the 1200 block of North Oxnard Boulevard to investigate the report of suspicious subjects gathering. Officers contacted several subjects, including suspected gang members. Officers searched the area and located a loaded Tech-9 semi-automatic pistol, narcotics, and narcotics paraphernalia. One adult and three juveniles were arrested for narcotics violations and warrants.
The Oxnard Police Department encourages residents to be partners in public safety as part of the Operation Safer and Stronger initiative. This is an excellent example of a witness who saw suspicious activity, called the police, and provided the appropriate information.
