DETAILS:
On January 30, 2013 at approximately 4:30 p.m., Oxnard police officers were dispatched to possible shots being fired in the area of the 1200 Block of Hull Place. When officers arrived they located two adult females in the area suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The subjects were pronounced dead by emergency responders.
A short time later, a second shooting call was received in the area of the 200 Block of South Marquita Street. When officers arrived there they found an apparent gunshot victim. This subject was pronounced dead by emergency responders.
It appears the two incidents are related. Investigators are attempting to identify all involved subjects and are following up on several leads. There is no immediate threat to public safety in regards to these incidents. Due to the sensitivity of the investigation no further information can be released at this time.
