DETAILS:
On 2-23-14, at approximately 2134 hours, officers were dispatched to the 200 Block of West Juniper Street regarding a shooting victim. When officers arrived they located a male subject and found that he had been shot. The male subject was transported to the Ventura County Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition.
The victim is a 23-year old Oxnard resident. His name is being withheld because he is a victim of a violent crime. Investigators believe the shooting is gang-related but because this is an active investigation further details will not be released at this time.
