On 9-25-14, at about 0900 hours, detectives from the West County Narcotics Task Force concluded an investigation into suspect Rene Ray Cervantez from the City of Oxnard. Investigators had received information that Cervantez was involved in the sales of controlled substances and dangerous drugs.
Detectives served a search warrant at Cervantez’ home address in the 100 block of Princeton Avenue. During the search, they located over two ounces of methamphetamine, one ounce of heroin, a little under an ounce of cocaine and a large sum of money.
Cervantez was booked for possession of a controlled substance and dangerous drugs for sales. He was later booked at Ventura County Jail with bail set at $50,000.
