On January 4, at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Special Enforcement Unit (Gang Unit) contacted occupants in a vehicle that was parked in the 800 blk. of Spruce St.  The subject seated in the driver’s seat was identified as Alfredo Garcia, and the right front passenger as Jadore Bryant.  During the contact, officers noticed vehicle code infractions on the vehicle and could smell the odor of burned marijuana.  As officers continued their contact with the occupants, they learned that a female occupant seated in a rear seat in the vehicle had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.  The occupants were ultimately removed from the vehicle and the female was taken into custody.

Officers searched the vehicle and located two handguns concealed in the passenger compartment of the vehicle.  Upon further inspection of the firearms, officers determined both handguns to be loaded 9-millimeter, Glock-style, Polymer 80, un-serialized, semi-automatic handguns.  Polymer 80 semi-automatic handguns are sold commercially as incomplete, without serial numbers, and must be further manufactured to make them into functioning firearms.  Bryant and Garcia were subsequently charged with possessing the P80 handguns.
