On 4/5/13 at approximately 1600 hours, Oxnard police officers were dispatched to a strong armed robbery that occurred in the 600 block of La Canada Avenue, Oxnard.
The officers contacted the victim at the scene. The victim said he was confronted by a large group of male suspects. The suspects demanded the victim’s property. When the victim refused to give up his property, the suspects assaulted the victim and took his property. After the robbery, the suspects fled the scene and the victim was able to notify the police. The victim told officers he last saw the suspects enter a residence in the 3600 block of Fournier Street.
Officers were searching the 3600 block of Fournier Street when the officers attempted to contact a group of males that matched the description of the robbery suspects. The suspects fled into a residence and tried to flee out the back of the house, but were apprehended by police. The victim was able to positively identify the males as the suspects that assaulted and robbed him.
The robbery suspects were identified as 20 year old Alejandro Mendoza, 18 year old Saul Guillen, and a 17 year old juvenile. All three suspects are residents of Oxnard. All three suspects were arrested and charged with robbery.
