DETAILS(OXNARD, CALIF) On May 23rd 2015, at about 9:00 a.m., patrol officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to a call for service at a residence in the 200 block of Bolero Lane in the City of Oxnard.
During a search of the residence, several pounds of marijuana along with cans of butane, evidence of a concentrated cannabis manufacturing lab (commonly referred to as Butane Honey Oil or BHO lab), two shotguns and evidence of selling marijuana were located.
The suspect, Stephen Moreno, was arrested and booked into Ventura County Jail for suspicion of manufacturing concentrated cannabis, possession for sales of marijuana, and maintaining a place for drug use/sales.
The community is reminded that BHO labs are inherently dangers. The chemical process required in such manufacturing processes are extremely flammable and several explosions have occurred in California as a result of improper care.
The Oxnard Police Department encourages anyone with information on this case to call Detective Langford at (805) 385-7638. We also encourage anyone with narcotic related information to call our Narcotic Hotline at (805) 982-7212 and leave an anonymous tip. Community members may also call the Ventura County Crime Stoppers at (805) 222-8477 or e-mail them at www.venturacountycrimestoppers.org/contactus.
