On January 5, 2024, at approximately 04:30 AM, Oxnard Police Officers responded to the 2200 block of Reina Circle, in the city of Oxnard, regarding a report of a shooting victim. The caller advised he was transporting the victim to a local hospital. Officers located the shooting victim, a 38-year-old male, at a local hospital. The 38-year-old male was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim underwent emergency surgery and is listed in critical condition.
Officers located evidence of the shooting in the 2200 block of Reina Circle.
Investigators from the Oxnard Police Department Violent Crimes Unit assumed responsibility for the investigation. The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
