DETAILS: On March 3, 2016, at about 2:00 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded with officers from the Ventura County Probation Agency to conduct a probation compliance check at the residence of known gang members.
When officers arrived they attempted to contact two known probationers in the driveway. One subject, later identified as Jordy Carrillo, fled into the residence. As officers gave chase through the house, Carrillo discarded a loaded handgun. Carrillo was previously convicted of several felonies and is prohibited from possessing firearms. The handgun was determined to be stolen out of the city of Moorpark. The other subject, Francisco Rojo, had previously been served with one of Oxnard’s civil gang injunctions and was currently in violation of those terms.
Carrillo was arrested for resisting arrest, numerous gun violations and possession of a stolen firearm. Rojo was arrested for violating the gang injunction and for violating his probation.
