DETAILS:
On 12/23/13 at 1832 hours, two officers from the Oxnard Police Department were working bicycle patrol in the area of the 100 Block of South “H” Street when one of the officers was rear-ended by a motorist. The officer was thrown from his police bicycle and suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision. He was transported to VCMC via ambulance.
The motorist fled the scene by continuing southbound on “H” Street and drove westbound on Second Street. Responding officers were unable to locate the vehicle, which was described as a dark green late 90’s 4 door Hyundai or similar vehicle. The vehicle possibly has front end damage.
