DETAILS:
On November 4, 2016, at about 1100 hours, officers from the Oxnard Police Department Violent Crimes Unit Gang Investigations assisted the Post Realignment Safety Officer with a probation and parole search at a residence in the south end of Oxnard. During the search, a stolen firearm was located. Oxnard Police Department Property Crimes Detectives were contacted and they authored a search warrant for the residence. An additional stolen firearm was located in addition to numerous items of stolen property and narcotics. Three subjects were contacted and the residence during the investigation and were arrested. Alfredo Cortes was arrested felony weapons charges, Alfredo Almada was arrested for felony weapons and narcotics charges and Jessie Cortez was arrested for a parole violation.
Investigators are still working the case and trying to determine the owners of some of the stolen property. The case is ongoing.
