DETAILS:
On December 13, 2016, at approximately 1:47 a.m., officers were dispatched to an attempted robbery in the area of Cypress Road. at Arcturus Avenue. The victim advised approximately five suspects attempted to rob him. The victim stated two of the suspects were in possession of firearms. The victim provided a vehicle description of the suspect vehicle and the last known direction of travel.
Approximately 15 minutes later, officers from the Oxnard Police Department located a vehicle matching the description given by the victim. Officers initiated a high risk traffic stop and detained the three occupants of the vehicle. The victim positively identified two of the suspects as being involved in the attempted robbery. During a search of the vehicle, a loaded handgun and additional ammunition was located. The suspects were arrested for attempted robbery and weapons violations.
