DETAILS: (Oxnard, Calif) – On March 27, 2017 at approximately 10:27 p.m., Oxnard Police Officers responded to a shooting victim in the 400 block of North Bonita Avenue. The police officers arrived on scene and located a shooting victim in the street. The police officers provided first aid until EMS personnel arrived. Despite the lifesaving efforts given by the police officers and EMS personnel, the victim died at the scene.
The Oxnard Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene to assume the investigation. At this early point in the investigation, there is no clear motive for the murder. Gang motivation has not been ruled out.
This is Oxnard’s fourth homicide of the year.
The City of Oxnard offers a $10,000.00 reward to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction in homicide cases.
