(OXNARD, Calif) – Detectives with the Oxnard Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit and Major Crimes Unit are investigating the shooting of a 32 year old Oxnard resident.
On April 8, 2017 at approximately 9:50 p.m., Oxnard police officers responded to a shooting victim in the 1000 block of King Street. When police officers arrived, they located a Hispanic male with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported from the scene in an ambulance to the Ventura County Medical Center. The victim is currently in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
Detectives were called to the scene to assist with the investigation. There is no clear motive for the shooting. The investigation is continuing.
