On 10/29/17, at 12:06 a.m., officers from the Special Enforcement Unit located a white Volkswagen Passat, that had been reported stolen from the City of Camarillo, in the area of Kamala St. and “M” St. As officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, the suspect attempted to evade the officers. The suspect, 25-year-old Oxnard resident Angel Cardona, collided with a brick wall and the vehicle he was driving overturned in the north alley of the 900 block of W. Juniper St. Officers extracted suspect Cardona and his 24-year-old female passenger from the vehicle. Officers found a loaded handgun in the stolen vehicle that Cardona was driving.
