On March 30, 2018, at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department Special Enforcement Unit and Violent Crimes Unit served a search warrant at a residence in the 500 block of Winchester Drive in the City of Oxnard.
Jose Luis Pineda was contacted outside his residence and arrested prior to the service of the warrant. He was initially arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance. During the subsequent search of his residence and property, officers found a loaded gun, a large amount of cash and drugs. All items were seized as evidence.
Suspect Pineda faces charges that include being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person and possession of narcotics for sales.
