On August 4, 2018, at approximately 10:00 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department Special Enforcement Unit and K-9 Unit attempted the apprehension of a felony wanted subject at a residence in the 1800 block of San Gorgonio Avenue. Upon arrival at the residence, suspect Alcazar attempted to flee out a window where upon he was met by additional officers including K-9 Officer Moses Martinez and his dog “Leo”. Suspect Alcazar ignored surrender commands and was taken into custody with the use of the K-9.
Suspect Alcazar was medically cleared for his minor injuries and booked into Ventura County Jail on possession of narcotics, resisting arrest and his outstanding felony warrant. Alcazar is a Post Release Offender (PRO) and was wanted for violating a condition of his post release supervision.
The Oxnard Police Department Special Enforcement Unit (Gang Unit) and K-9 Unit is committed to reducing gang crimes and gun violence in the City of Oxnard through the strict enforcement of laws specifically targeting known, active gang members residing in the city.
