DETAILS:
On January 21, 2019, marks the 4th anniversary of the death of Luis Amaro. On January 21, 2015, at approximately 6:50 p.m., as Mr. Amaro stood outside his residence located in the 200 blocks of Balsam St. he was confronted by an unknown subject. Mr. Amaro was ultimately transported to the Ventura County Medical Center where he was pronounced dead as a result of a gunshot wound.
Witnesses recalled hearing multiple gunshots being fired and a vehicle speeding away from the scene. The vehicle was described as an older model sedan, possibly a dark colored Honda.
