SUBJECT: Gang Member / Juvenile Arrested for Firearm Possession

On April 29, 2020, at around 6:15 PM, officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to a call for service of subjects involved in a fight in the 3000 block of Concord Drive. The reporting party advised that one of the subjects was in possession of a gun.
Responding officers contacted a 17-year-old juvenile male, who is a documented Oxnard gang member, as he was trying to leave the area in the 1300 block of Channel Islands Blvd. During the investigation, it was discovered that the 17-year-old juvenile had a concealed firearm in his waistband. The juvenile was compliant with officers and was taken into custody for various firearm-related charges. The juvenile was subsequently transported and lodged at the Ventura County Juvenile Holding Facility.
