SUBJECT: Firearm, Ammunition and Narcotics for Sale Arrest

On June 18, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Officers from the Oxnard Police Department Special Enforcement Unit (gang unit) conducted a traffic stop of a white Chevy Silverado at the intersection of Gisler Avenue and Guava Street. Officers contacted Noe Ambriz (19yrs) and Jovany Lopez (20yrs) in the vehicle. During the traffic stop, a search of the vehicle was conducted.
During the search of the vehicle, a loaded “P80” (polymer 80%) 9 millimeter Glock style handgun, additional 9 millimeter ammunition, a large amount of Xanax for sale, cash and an additional “P80” (polymer 80%) 9 millimeter Glock style handgun were located. Neither of the firearms were found to be register.
Both Ambriz and Lopez were arrested for numerous firearm and narcotics related offences.
