DETAILS:
On February 10, 2018, at approximately 11:49 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department and EMS personnel responded to a traffic collision involving a pedestrian on Oxnard Blvd. at the 101 overpass.
When officers arrived they located an unidentified male, believed to be in his 40’s, unconscious in the roadway suffering from serious injuries. The unidentified pedestrian was transported to a local hospital and is in critical condition.
Officers determined that the pedestrian was attempting to cross Oxnard Blvd. when he was struck by a 2004 Volkswagen Jetta traveling northbound being driven by a 22-year-old Oxnard resident. The driver of the vehicle was interviewed and released. The investigation is continuing.
